national ushers and deacons ministry

At Bethel, our Deacons and Ushers Ministry fulfils an essential role in the worship experience.  Ushers and Deacons represent the Church in a very visible way, as door-keepers, greeting worshippers as they come into the sanctuary. Indeed, Deacons and Ushers are often the first people that a worshipper encounters, which highlights the importance of their role.  Psalms 84-10 says: “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand outside.  I’d rather be a door-keeper in the house of God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.”

Ushers are responsible for making visitors and members of the congregation feel comfortable, while Deacons assists the Pastor with the care of the saints and the practical needs of the ministry.

Our Head Usher is Sis Pauline Noble, our Head Deacon is Deacon Sydney Walker.
