Bethel School of Biblical Studies (formerly Bethel Institute of Biblical Studies) is a part-time Bible School and is a recognised centre for delivering OCN qualifications in the UK. The Bible based courses range from Foundation to Degree level and our God-given anointed teachers are qualified from Degree to PhD level. The teaching is based upon the Word of God and BIBS accepts the Bible as its final authority.
Bishop Sydney Dunn, our previous presiding bishop, had the vision to set up a dedicated school of ministry. In 1994, he appointed Bishop Martin Simmonds as the first Principal of the Bible College, and BIBS officially opened in September of the same year.
Since then, BIBS has continued to go from strength to strength: Dr Mavis Taylor has taken on the role of Principal, new courses have been introduced, BIBS achieved accreditation for its courses and became recognised as an OCN Centre, and BIBS has awarded its first PhDs and Bachelor’s degrees.
BIBS currently offer a one year foundation course, a number of short courses, and a degree programme.
