NATIONAL ECCLESIASTICAL COUNCIL
The National Ecclesiastical Council serves as the decision-making body of the church and as such serves to provide strategic leadership, and facilitate the direction of the organisation and its mission. As a team of leaders, the NEC is a forum for strategic thinking, planning, and vision casting.
The Council’s ultimate responsibility, under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, is to establish protocols, policies and procedures, as well as establishing, sustaining and perpetuating spiritual order.
Furthermore, as the spiritual leaders of the church, the NEC is committed to an Apostolic vision to evangelise the United Kingdom, train and develop Pastors and leaders and commit to planting churches with the gospel message of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
The objectives of the Council are to co-ordinate and promote the vision, mission and values of Bethel United Church of Jesus Christ (Apostolic) U.K. by:
- Providing clear strategic direction to the national work of the church
- Developing strategies for church growth and development in each district
- Promoting close collaborative working relationships between the church’s national departments
